In Papua New Guinea an alumnus (2015) is working with community leaders to create crime diversion programs after their town was hard hit by violence by gangs of young men who fought against Police brutality. She knows of the gang leaders and with the support of leaders and a community that wants change, she started a dialogue about how crime is affecting all of them. Talks about the issues at hand in the community and being involved in work initiatives together, is something they hope will start changing the way they view each other, as they take baby steps towards a better future.
